Challenge: Encourage Memphis residents to seize the opportunity to benefit greatly by reducing the city's crime rate.

Solution: 3i worked with the Memphis Police Department and Mayor's Office to help reduce the number of guns throughout Memphis communities. The efforts included print, outdoor, and web design for the “Gas or Groceries for Guns” event. Citizens would receive Kroger Grocery Cards and/or Mapco Gas Cards when turning in a gun.

Methods & Mediums: Print, digital and outdoor signage.

Highlight: "The event was able to eliminate more than 700 guns off the streets, traded for gas and groceries in an effort to make the streets of Memphis safer," stated Bobby White, executive assistant to Mayor A C Wharton. Learn more about Mayor's Office events at memphistn.gov.
